When do parakeets lay eggs?

Question

i hav 4 parakeets

and one of the female parakeets is over 2 years of age

and she didnt start laying any eggs yet. so when will she?

will add to give her a nesting box filled with nesting material, bought at bird stores and Petco, Petsmart & the like. Egg's must be kept warm for chicks to survive.

She needs to eatnot just be fed, a healthy diet. Lot's of clean and washed and dried, then chopped dark green leafy vegetables with other veggies to provide her extra vitamin A. Along with her regular diet foods you can add some grated hard boiled egg ( 12 to 15 mins.) cooked and cooled with shell left on for added calcium.

She also needs to have quite time, si as hard as it is to do, try not to bother her more than peeking in on her to make sure she is okay time.

she should have already started around 2 years, that's a safe age, some will lay sooner but it's not recommended for health reasons but they certainly can.

It shouldn't be long - but then again, are you sure she is female?  DNA testing for birds is often incorrect.  Pet stores can get a feather out of the cage for the test that might actually belong to another one of your birds' clutch mates.
