When do they put in the power chains for braces?

So I just got braces like two days ago after getting four teeth pulled out and I read online that they usually put powerchains for big gaps(which i have due to the teeth that have been extracted)

but they only put the wire in I think...no rubber bands or anything...does it depend?

and another question

my orthodontist put my metal bands on the second to last teeth instead of the last teeth of each "row"...why? wouldnt that mean that the last tooth isnt moving? I havent thought of this till I got home but its very unsettling.

  1. what is the hurry. Your torture will start soon. Now your orthodontist is trying to straighten your teeth & bring into alignment & next he will start to pull using elastics or power chains.

  2. 1. powerchains are used after you have had braces for a while and they probably just put the wire and single colors on they do this because powerchains make your teeth sore and if they do that right away you will be in major pain

#2. mine too they do this because if it was all the way back there it would cut your gums really bad
