When do they tell you how much funds your getting from financial aid?

I applied for the fafsa 2008-2009 and Im listed that im going to attend san francisco state university at the fall of 08 and I'd like to know when are they going to tell me how much funds im going to get. I applied at feburary and still no answer. I wanna know when will they responed back.

they will advise you only after determination of benefits. It depends on a few factors including, but not limited to- your financial need, the school's cost factor, and available funds.

You should know also the 3 types of aid available-

grant money (free- no need to repay), student loans- (you will have to repay), and work study (you will work at school for pay).

The earlier you apply also affects the qualification amount.

Each school has their own schedule on when they send out award letters. Most do first in first out. All the people who did the FAFSA in January are going to get theirs first. You should probably call the financial aid office at the school though to make sure everything is good on your application.

I start summer classes in 2 weeks and had to call the school to find out how much I got, and everything.  You can call the Financial Aid department at the school.  It might not be done yet, I did my application the first week of March, and its going to take a few more weeks to finish up.
