They ages vary from 3-4 months old.Adopted from near by lakes.I feed them grasshoppers ,hatchling pellets and dried baby shrimp.(also diffrent fish foods) Are they to small to tell the s*x?and how old must they be to lay eggs? Can they be layed in pea gravel or do i need to mix some sand in with it.they feed twice a day.the older one (not blind) is growing alot faster and is a pig, it has a straight tail.(it has been climbing on top the others the last couple days and following them)The other two curve slightl.they have all they need for lighting.heating, and water filter.

  1. It will be a few years before you can s*x your turtle and before you have to worry about eggs. The exact age depends on the species you have and it's more a matter of size than age.

I'd suggest a box of potting soil in preference to sand or gravel.
