  1. You wish they did. Women stopped being legally considered their husband's property decades ago.

LOSTFAN: That was 1920, which wasn't even 100 years ago.

  2. LostFan, do you understand basic math?

  3. What country are you from?

Here in America,  marriage does not make a woman her husband's property.

  4. If you're having difficulty with romance, head over to Singles

    & Dating.

  5. Sorry you seemed to miss out the bit about why/how a woman becomes a 'husband's property'??

I think you need to get over yourself and get a life. No body owns anyone, marriage or partnership is a choice....end of!

I guessing  you're not with anyone at the moment!

  6. Ummmm........think you accidentally wandered in here when you were looking for the "moronic questions that make no sense" category

  7. Rio: More like centuries ago. Women had stopped being considered property when they gained the right to vote, the reasoning was, they must be a separate entity and not property to count as one vote.

By the way buddy, women dont become a husband's property, women are usually the one's who control the marriage(for the most part, healthy ones are when both make decisions) BIG SHOCKER!

  8. I am not sure what culture you are thinking of, but in Western culture women are not generally regarded as their husband's property.  Women's rights have varied greatly over the years, but in the present era a woman is considered to be no more her husband's property than he is hers.

  9. Are you on Earth? Land immediately, middle east is missing their clown.

  10. Marriage isn't about becoming anyone's property. It's about becoming partners in an endeavor for life. Certainly, men are seen as the "head of the house", but how successfully would he really run it without his wife taking care of all the details so he doesn't have to worry about it? Things like grocery shopping, cleaning, taking care of the children while he's at work.

I dont' understand why so many women today seem to think being a mother and staying home is "degrading". I think it's the most noble thing a woman can do. Children get their most important education within the walls of their own home. Mothers have the opportunity and responsibility to be the biggest impact in their kid's lives.

Sorry, got a bit off topic there. haha.

  11. Lincoln freed the slaves

  12. Some women don't marry-we're not interested in being or acquiring property. Not all women and men are alike hon.

  13. It's degrading to me to be 'owned' by someone.

And a wife isn't a husband's 'property', she is his partner.
