  3. If it is a linear equation, you shld only connect the dots if the data or information on your graph can continue on forever: in other words, can it go into the negative quadrant or not. Also, connect the dots when asked to, and fer parabolas, quadratics, those absolute value graphs, etc. Ur welcome... trust me i kno this stuff
