When do you find out about qualification for National Merit Semifinalist or Commended?

Wikipedia said counselors received the names of their qualifying students on August 21 in 2006. Does anyone, possibly people who qualified last year, know when one finds out whether or not he or she qualified for National Merit Commended or Semifinalist?

Right now we're putting together the semi-finalist packets for students who took the test in October of 2007. The high schools will receive these in the mail in August. Once they get to the high schools, the packets will be distributed to the students who are named semi-finalists. Feel free to email me at [e-mail] if you have any more questions.
