I am joining the National Guard in a few week and they were telling me that if recommended someone (or refer them, not sure what the program is called), that I would get $2,000. But when would I receive that money? Would it be after they complete basic training or AIT or when? Does anyone know? Thank You

  1. You have to enlist first.

Then you have to sign up for the Recruiter Assistant Program.

Then you have to put your referral's info into the system.

When he/she enlists, you get $1000.

When he/she ships to basic, you get $1000 more.

Don't forget to pay taxes on this money.

SMART is a different program, for the Regular Army.

  2. its called the sergeant major of the army's recruiting team, and you get 1000 when they leave for basic, and the other 1000 when they graduate from AIT and go to their unit.  you need to register for it first, you can do it on AKO

  3. I'm not in the National Guard!

  4. you must already be in the Guard.  it's called GRAP (guard recruiting assitance program).  you will receive a total of $2000 dollars for anybody you nominate and they enlist.  you will receive the first $1000 30-45 days after the potential soldier enlists, and the other $1000 30-45 days after they ship to basic training.
