I'm on Celexa and wanted to know when I had to start weening off of this before it's out of my system to try and get pregnant. I take it for anxiety not depression so it's not worth trying to continue it while I'm pregnant.

  1. You need to talk to your doctor about his.  Only he/she can know the risks associated with pregnancy.  And may want to put you on another anti-depressant that is safe during pregnancy.

  2. I was on Celexa when I found out I was pregnant, and had to wean off it over  a few weeks. I would ask your Dr. about weaning yourself off it it, and how much dosage to take.

  3. "If you are planning a pregnancy, or if you become pregnant while taking Celexa, do not stop taking the medication without first talking to your doctor. "

btw, if your husband is on anti-depressants (SSRI) he would need to get off. It lowers your sperm count to nothing and disrupts the sperms DNA (temporarily). We found that out the hard way
