When do you most use your MP3 player?

And what do you play on it?

I listen to podcasts in bed and wake with voices in my head.

Yeah, usually in bed, or while waiting for my shift to start (I arrive 20 minutes early and sit in the car).

My MP3 is slim, but heavy, and the dial is way sensitive, so it isn't very easy to wear on any occasion.

When working out. especially on the treadmill, stationary bike and lifting weights. It puts me into the zone.

I use it the most while I'm doing the insanely boring, monotonous tasks in research.  AKA running an FTIR using the same methods for hours on end, waiting for the GC/MS, making solutions, doing an endless amount of dilutions, etc.

I listen to all kinds of stuff.  What's most fun for me is to listen to hardcore rap, techno, or punk at the moments when I'm most bored.  It reminds me that there is much more to life than figuring out if the tests that I'm running are repeatable.

And I've recently downloaded some online Italian language courses!  Ciao.

I plug it into my car and listen to it while I am driving everywhere. We even park my car out in the back of my work and crank my stereo when we take trashes out. =)

I love my Ipod....
