I'm planning to have a small wedding in January, probably 100-150 people. When should I start sending invitations?

  1. 4-6 weeks before the wedding, and try not to send too close to christmas, so that your invitation doesn't get put in with the christmas cards. The earlier in the month the better.

  2. 6-8 weeks before the wedding. If you want to, you can send a "save the date" card in the near future, which just alerts people that your wedding is coming up (any stationary store or printing place can show you some examples). But the invitations shouldn't go out more than two months ahead, because you want people to know enough about their future schedules to be able to give you a solid yes or no RSVP.

  3. i would send them out the 1st week in November. and have you RSVP by middle of December. You need to get all your RSVP's in before everyone gets crazy with the Christmass mess. PLUS mail will get backed up due to Christmas cards...

  4. A few months. like 2 months.

  5. send them out the third week in Nov. that way you can get them back in time to do your seating arrangement,

  6. Six to eight weeks before.

  7. 6-8 weeks.  If you sent out save the dates most of them are already aware of the day and know if they will be able to come or not, it's just to help finalize it for you.

  8. Start sending the invites a month to a month and a half before the wedding day, dont send them out too early as its easy for people to shove the invite away in a drawer and forget about it thinking they have plenty time to reply! I find a month and a half in advance is plenty time

  9. 6/-8 weeks prior to the date they are due back so you have time to call those who do not respond and get your final head count in

  10. Usually you send out a "save the date" about 6-7 months earlier (I think), but don't send out invitations until about 3 months til. There are websites and books that you can find a timeline up to the big day. Congrats on the wedding! Check this website out.
