  1. If I buy their cd. I don't usually spend money on cd's so it's a big thing if I actually like a band enough to buy their cd.

  2. When you can listen to them a hundred times a day and not get tired of their music.

When you know all the lyrics to their songs.

When you like every song they have ever made.

When you like them even after everyone has quit listening to them.

When you cant get their songs out of your head.

When you find a way to talk about them in everyday conversation.

When you have to buy every item you see with them on it ie mag covers, t-shirts, patches etc

When you you see them in concert and were so close to the stage that you could see the sweat on their faces and thought "I could die happy right now"

When you carry pictures of them in your wallet.

When you put them as #1 on your myspace top 8

  3. When I can't help but hum or sing their songs, and repeat their songs on an hourly-basis.

NP: Take No Prisoners - Megadeth

  4. When I would consider paying to see them play live.    I own hundreds of CDs, and some of them I wouldn't make the effort to go see live.

  5. When I've listened to more than just a 'best of' album.

For a band / artist to then become a *favourite*, I have to have a majority of their discography, and live albums...

  6. when i like most songs by them...and the album(s) are a frequent in my cd player.  And when i can listen to a song and look at the person next to me and excitedly say "do you f*ckin hear this sh*t?!?!?"

  7. You only need to like a bands music to be a fan. A 'true' fan of a band has all of their albums and scarfs up anything else that they release no matter how trivial.

  8. When I like a band, and know 10+ songs.

  9. When I can't stop listening to their music, and have heard a good bit of it. Even one album to begin with, I'd start to call myself a fan.

Fan = Loving the music. :)

  10. When you know most of the songs, and you love them.

When you know the lyrics quite well, and what the songs are about (if it's a good band with decent lyrics, lol, not the Jonas sisters).

When one of their songs comes on the radio, you know it's them pretty quickly.

When you don't tire of listening to their songs.

If you could take a quiz on the band, you'd get 80% or more.

  11. Never get sick of them

    Know all there lyrics

    Have all there albums

Known them for a year or more

    Love them

    Know the members

...and i can keep on going and going..

    haha

    AFI fan forever <3

  12. I started calling myself a Hanson fan, once I knew the lyrics to all of their songs, and owned all their cds.

I started calling myself an Official fan, when I went to their concert, last year.

I personally think I am a good fan. I know more songs than "Mmmbop, If Only, Where's the love, and Penny and Me" Although they lost tons of fans, and arent considered "cool" I could really care less. I like their music, so isnt that whats the most important?

  13. To be honest, I start calling myself a fan when I've only heard one album off someone and liekd it. For example The Doors, I've only heard their self-titled and Greatest Hits, and for some daft reason I consider myself one.

  14. when you respect a band and no more than just their singles. But it doesn't mean you have to love all of their music.

Me? Case and point would be U2. Love them, know a lot about them, cover them on guitar. But after the early 90's i can't say I enjoyed their music, and they are only starting to earn my respect back. But Im still a fan
