  1. Stop turning now.

We stop turning our eggs 48 hours before they are due to hatch.

  2. When it hatches.

  3. When I have hatched game bird eggs my Incubator was  an automatic turner and it turned the eggs till they hatched,

I never had any problems as the turner does not move very fast and the chicks never had any problems.

  4. stop turning it when you know it is fixing to hatch.

  5. You stop turning 2-3 days before it is set to hatch.

Edit: Wacky - I can't believe you wouldn't understand the implications of letting the eggs hatch while the automatic turner was still operating!! You may not have had problems, but that doesn't mean the risk isn't there.  The chick would have to fall from the egg (even if its only mere inches) to the floor from the turner without getting tangled/caught up in it.
