  1. Yes, I agree with Blue eyes, you have to "try to conceive" between what is usually your shorter cycle and the longer one. I have irregular periods and I conceive before the 12 month mark.Buy ovulation sticks, it will make it loads easier. I don't really fertility issues other thn that I have had normal and full-term pregnancies.

    Good luck and God bless:)

  2. First Response has a monthly ovulation kit now. It has 20 tests in it and is suppose to be for women who have irregular periods. I think it is around $45. I would try them if you are trying to conceive. Best of luck:)

  3. I would read the insert to be certain but if I remember correctly it said to use the shortest cycle you have had and start testing on the day the chart on the insert says for that cycle length. If you have not recieved a positive result before you run out of tests just buy some more. I hope this helps and baby dust!

  4. I would start taking the OPK's today.  Answer has a test kit that has 20 in it for about $20.  It's just the stick without the plastic on it, so it's cheaper.  You should be able to detect your surge with that.  If you normally have periods that last for longer than 40 days, then you might wait a few more days to start testing.  Remember with OPK's you DO NOT use first morning urine.  I usually do mine at one o'clock in the day (but I know a lot of women can't do that due to work and other things,) however try and do it at the same time each day for the best results.  Good luck to you!
