I just became a junior. I was wondering when I should take the SAT. How do you register for it? Please give me as much detail as possible.

  1. You should take the PSAT in October to familiarize yourself with the test. Then you should take the SAT in March, April, May or June. Whenever you feel ready.

If you want, you can take it again in the fall of your senior year. That's what I did and I ended up getting my score higher by 200 points!

To register go to www.collegeboard.com and follow the instructions! It's very easy, don't be nervous. And good luck!

  2. collegeboard.com is the way to register

if you just became a junior (meaning you will be one in sept.)...i will advise you to take the PSAT...the SAT in march ( you may not do very well but you will build off of it)..then take it in june, and then in october if needed...

after i took the PSAT i saw i did MISREABLE on the critical reading and writing section..i got tutored soley for those 2 sections and improved greatly from it...i took it this past june...i wish i took it in march though..yes its early and you may not do as well, but you shoulda take it as much as you can.

i took the PSAT, the SAT in june, and i want to improve my scores for colleges so I'll be taking it in October of my senior year.

  3. You can take it this year.  You should talk to your school counselor about the timing and also if test prep is available.

The site below has deadlines for registration and test dates.
