When do you think Blue Ray will overtake Dvd?

it's all a matter of when the price comes down. blu ray players are NOT cheap, and the discs on top of that are quite expensive as well. when the price comes down, i think that it will overtake DVD. when will this happen? i think sometime very soon. technology has been progressing at an extremely rapid rate over the past few months. just look at computers. back in last summer/fall, $800 got you a decent laptop with an average sized hard drive and 1gb, maybe 2gb of RAM. now, that will get you a deluxe laptop with 4gb of RAM and a huge hard drive. so i think within the next few months to a year, blu ray will overtake DVD.

I dont think it will ever completely take it over. Not everyone has HDTVs yet and probably never will unless Standard def tvs are no longer made.

when bluray players become cheaper. because they are very expensive a.t.m. unless you buy a real S****y one.
