Question:

When do you think Brett Favre is going to regret not taking the 25 million

His first preseason game, when his receivers drop more than they catch, his first regular season game when he is sacked 8 times, while watching the other team's QB throw for 5 touchdowns, or do you think he already regrets it.

As a second question, would you want to upset Packer managment. They really "got" Brett on this one.

  1. Packer management is not vindictive.  NFL football is a business, above all things.  My guess is that Favre won't be happy at all, and this will be his last year in the league.  Jets fans can be BRUTAL, and Brett has NEVER had home fans boo him.  He can no longer sit through meetings bored to tears because he already knows the full offensive scheme.  He will have to study, and study hard.  He will NOT like NYC life, since he truly is a country boy.

And yes, his receivers are substandard.  It's going to take them a LOT to learn to handle the bullet type passes Favre is known to throw.  He can expect tons of incompletions, as well as a fair share of sacks (at age 39)

My guess is that he is ALREADY unhappy at where he ended up, but now has to make the best of what he did by forcing the hand of the Packer organization.

  2. Never.  If he plays and loses, he will know he did the right thing, if he plays and wins, everyone will know he did the right thing.

  3. Easy to answer, even if Brett plays just this year for the Jets and retires the Pack will still re-offer the 20 mill deal to be a representative for them.Love him or hate him people, but to us true Packer fans he will always be remembered, just like Bart Star forever a Packer and forever a legend. amen

  4. He wont he doesnt care about the money he just wnts to play the game he loves!

  5. he never is going to regret it. He is going to be payed 12 million by the Jets. And he wanted to play football again.

  6. When he runs out of money.  Oh, wait - he's never going to run out.  He wanted to play, now he's playing.

  7. yesterday

  8. I'll bet he is SHOCKED that he didn't get what he wanted, which was the Packers bending over to all his demands. Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if he re-re-re-retired and went back to Mississippi.

  9. First, the report in WI was officially it was 20 million over 10 years, but either way, Brett wants to play.  Ted Thompson is a moron, he has a personal bias because his "golden boy" first pick when he came to Green Bay was Aaron Rodgers, and he wants to see him play.

To answer the question, Brett will never regret it.  He just wants to play football.  Who cares if the fans boo him?  Who cares if his receivers can't catch.  With Brett around, good things will happen.  If the Jets are in the market to trade for a good receiver,, and have a couple other teams looking at the same guy, who is going to have more sway, who is going to look better to a receiver that has a trade clasue?  A team that has mediocre receivers and a Hall of Fame QB coming back from one of his best statistical years, or a team with other good receivers and a mediocre QB?

  10. He's 38 and has a big head about himself. Going on tv saying he doesn't feel welcome like a baby. Seriously, if you are going to retire, retire, he shouldnt have played games. He probably will a few years from now.

  11. Never. He doesn't need the money. Even if his team does poorly I think he will enjoy playing football.

  12. I dont think he will regret it, he does want to play football this year. But  when the Jets recievers and their offense cant score, when the 2 games they play the Patriots and are getting their butts kicked, when they play 2 home games in December 1 against the Bills and 1 against the Dolphins and remember NY can be just as nasty in December as it can be in Green Bay as far as the weather is concerned , then maybe he might have some second thoughts about his decission. Years ago Favre was unstoppable in cold weather, but last years NFC championship game and the game vs the Bears in Chicago showed the cold was getting to him.

  13. He'll regret it right away.
