When do you think I ovulate?

I have had my AF every 28 days since I was 13 - I am now 30. But for the last three months it has varied. I got my AF on May 30th then June 25th, then July 20th and most recently August 13th. I think I am ovulating earlier rather than later in my cycle. DH and I are ttc - when do you think my most fertile days will be so we can BD?

  1. Tough call, irregularity is wonderful, isn't it?  :-)

I'd start tracking your cycles right away, just so you know when you are ovulating.  I highly recommend Toni Weschler's Taking Charge of Your Fertility:

Two sites that have good tracking software are ivillage.com & fertilityfriend.com.  Most gals around here like fertilityfriend better, I but I prefer ivillage.

You can also purchase the ovulation tests at the store ~ that you pee on.  I have not used them, but people really seem to love them.  Buy a pack or two of those and start peeing on them, say, 10-11 days after TOM to see what's going on.  Certainly if you are tracking, you'd know exactly when to take an ovulation test ~ that's be the most accurate way to see when you're ovulating, how long your luteal phase is, etc.

    Best of Luck to you!!

  2. It sounds pretty regular like a 25 or a 26 day cycle like mine. I am done with all of the charting and stuff, this month we are just going to baby dance every other day from the time my period ends until the day I start my next period or get the long awaited bfp. I feel like this way we will cover all of the days that I may possibly ovulate.Good luck and baby dust.

  3. With your cycle changing that way its hard to tell you could chart your BBT or buy O Test and use them the day after your period is gone. or if those seem to much trouble just BD EVERY day for 2 weeks after your peiod your sure to his the O Day if you are still ovulating. Baby dust and Good Luck

  4. starting 1 week after af, bd every other day.

  5. I always tell people that it is 14 days before you expect your period but since you do not know when to expect it I would get ovulation prediction kits and start using them, the same time everyday preferably not in the morning starting after your period ends. If you are worried about the cost buy them in bulk off the internet. This way you will know for sure when to BD and it will eliminate alot of the stress of not knowing. Baby Dust and good luck!

  6. The average for a 28 day cycle is to ovulate on CD14. However most cycles do vary - I can be anything from 29 days through to 32 days.  Ovulation for me can fall any time between CD16 and CD20.

At a guess I'd say you should start BD'ing around CD10 and carry on to CD20.  But it will vary month on month.

But the best thing to do is to get specific - if you want to be certain of your fertile time then take your temps and chart.  I use fertility friend and it's really helpful.

Good luck and lots of baby dust to you x*x
