your question is kind of vague.  do you mean at what age? im going to try and answer but i think you should re-phrase your question.  

i think if you NEED to make phone calls when not at home you should get a cell phone - its honestly as simple as that.

well me and all my friends got cell phones 2 years ago in 6th grade and feel its a good time to get one.

A person should usually get a cell phone once they hit middle school (6th gradeish). then they would be able to contact their parents since they will have a much likely busy schedule from middle school and future grades.

i think u should get a cell phone when you're in 6th grade. almost all of my friends got one in 6th grade so i guess that's what i think someone should get a cell fone
