When do you think the Dodgers would talk contract deals with Manny? During the season or after?

Would the Dodgers be smart enough to avoid letting Manny Ramirez go on the free-agent market and try to negotiate with his contract before the season is over? Could they afford him?

  1. I hope BEFORE the season is over. Who knows where Scott Boras migh take him. The Giants? D-Backs? Don't let a predator like that loose. Seriously, two things are on my mind right now: Winning the N.L. West and signing a contract with Manny at the same time. The Dodgers franchise can actually build a team around Manny Ramirez and I hope the Dodgers organization are smart enough to do something about it.

  2. honestly his age is a very big concern for me (36) i know the guy takes great care of himself but is he worth the 4 year $100million deal he wants? and will he continue to produce like he has this year next year or the year after or so on? or will he become another Andruw Jones or JD Drew?

  3. He is getting old, and Manny was mad at Boston for knowing they would not sign a 4 year option for him. Scott Boras will take whoever will give him the most money for the next few seasons.  However, I just heard about an hour ago that Manny may want to finish as a Yankee, to get back at boston.

  4. They really don't have to think about it this year because the team has a $20 million option that they could pick up.

  5. Manny says he wants to end his career as a Dodger.  However I'm not thinking about that now.  I'm thinking about winning the NL West.
