  1. Whats wrong with the economy?

  2. It started long ago when the US started printing more money they could guarantee with gold. For some time it worked for the US economy, since many countries like Japan willingly bought everything for US dollars and used them in international deals. But the time has come to pay. If China or Japan decide to buy something in the USA for the dollars they have they will discover that they can buy everything and still have a lot of American dollars. That will be a disaster for the world's economy, and the end of the USA.

  3. It started when America found out about the sub-prime mortgage crisis where big home loaners were loaning out to people who could not pay back the money and interest. Things became worse when the balance sheets came out that there was actually a large proportion of the population in debt, which sparked recession and doubt among investors and America's external stability became unstable for a while.

  4. When we met George W. Bush

  5. We never really recovered from the recession after 9/11. Much of the growth was in the financial services and we now know that it was not based on reality. We lost manufacturing and wages have been stagnate leaving people  ill equipped to handle the rising gas and food prices we are now experiencing.
