When do you think the US embassy will move to Jerusalem?

(1)Jerusalem should remain an undivided city in which the rights of every ethnic and religious group are protected;

(2)Jerusalem should be recognized as the capital of the State of Israel; and

(3)the United States Embassy in Israel should be established in Jerusalem no later than May 31, 1999.

I think its a bad idea to move the capital or embassy to Jerusalem..its a religous and holy city and politics should have no place there.

It should just remain a city of worship

Every country in the world has its Israeli embassy in Tel Aviv.  It is the most practical location.  There is no sense in relocating an embassy to make a political statement.

Unlikely to happen soon.

If, despite the policy statement you have cited, the Clinton and Bush administrations have still not done so (and trust me, it wasn't due to bugetary concerns), then I see it to be less likely that a Obama or Huckabee (did I just say that? heh.) administration would.

I find it amazing that some people still insist that Tel Aviv is the capital and dismiss the fact that Israelis are the ones who determine their own capital! I can't help thinking that if the embassies, the American and others, moved to Jerusalem, it would be a step in the right direction.

When Israel has Jerusalem, people of all faiths are free and welcome to worship their holy sites. When Jordan controlled the city, what did they do to the Jewish holy sites? Turned them into horse stables. They didn't even have the basic decency to allow Israelis to pray at the Kotel.
