When do you think the cure for herpes will be discovered

I know AIDS is much more inportant them herpes but that still doesn't mean they won't try to find a cure for it, i have been looking online and it seems there coming close but i doubt they will release it for awhile sense all these medicines to help outbreaks are good $$ and curing it is much less expensive in the long run.

i also know viruses are hard to get rid of, but saying there is no cure is very ignorant

Also who knows they may have already found it and haven't relseaed it to the public

so i have a few questions

1) When do you think a cure for herpes will be discovered?

2) Has anyone done research on this topic and know more information about it?

3) Do you need to be a docter to want to later join and help the research for finding a cure? and i don't mean to donate money

4) Do you think there is already a cure someone place not in America and we just don't have it yet

No. Today, drug companies work on disease management not disease cure. If they cure a disease, their customers go away and they know it.

Herpes won't kill you. I don't they will ever find a "cure" because the medication manufactures are making big bucks from sales. They won't let a cure be found. Not unlike the tubeless tire that was blocked by tire manufactures. Flat tires is good for their bottom line. Same rationale.

Herpes viruses travel through nerves and live in the base of them. A cure would be, I think, impossible without doing severe damage to nerves. It'd be like dynamiting a house to kill the rat who lives inside the walls.

A vaccine, which "teaches" the immune system to defeat the virus might be more likely, though viruses often mutate in response to such attempts. As an example, the annual "flu" vaccine is always for a slightly different virus, or small group of viruses (which are only educated guess, as far as which flu viruses are likely to show up!).
