When do you think the ipod touch 2nd generation going to come out?

Well, I want to buy an ipod touch but I just heard that there's going to be a 2nd generation so anyone knows exactly when it's going to be out because I don't want to buy something and then something new came out. Thanks

Im hearing that Apple is going to role out the new ipod sometime this month. either the 9, or sometime before the end of the month.

i do think they will be out by the end of the year.

just wait.

well right now they are having back to school promotion for college students, they get a free ipod touch with the purchase of mac computer which will last till September 14th i think but i am not sure. after that is over i am sure they should make an announcement about the ipod touch 2nd generation which will be improved and they just might add new features to it. i suggest you wait till the 2nd generation ipod touch comes out it will obviously be better then the current ipod touch. no one knows the exactly release date for it but just wait 2 maybe 3 weeks and we all should hear something from apple.

i have the same problem. i really wanted the ipod touch, buut if it comes out, like a month after i buy it then that's pointless. i heard that it's going to come out around late september of this year, or somewhere around there (probably just in time for christmas shopping, so it'll probably be sold out everywhere, but whatever) and i also heard that this time it will have a camera-how sweet! oh well, hope i helped!

ya. I heard that too. Rumor has it that it's coming out this fall. As early as Sept 5. But no one can confirm that.

I'm also asking the same question too. I really want the ipod touch. If you not in a hurry (like me), I suggest wait till maybe december or jan of next year to buy one. Hey, maybe the price may drop!
