  1. Everyone needs a homeland, Jews and Arabs. It was a mistake to kick the Palestinians out and not give them a homeland.

The eastern Mediterranean area has had so many peoples, with changing borders over such a long period of time that every group has a claim to nearly every piece of land.

We all need to learn to respect each other.

  2. I'm on neither side.  I wish only for peace for the sake of all the innocent lives involved.  As long as there are religious issues involved I doubt it will be over anytime soon.  People have been killing in the name of God for centuries now all over the world.

I hope you will see the ending of it in your lifetime.

  3. Israel. The land given to them from God.

  4. Jews never invaded my land, destroyed temples by the thousands. slaughtered millions , raped and pillaged while screaming _Allah HO Akbar-. Now after all that they insult our intelligence by claiming they never did that! ( not really surprised though because they also claim They did not do 9/11 either.

Still in doubt which side I am on?

  5. It is the radical Palestinians who are wanting to take over Israel and rid the Jews. You have to remember that the Land of Israel happens to belong to the Jews from the very beginning. What I am saying is that I am not going to support TERRORISM. My support goes with the Jewish people to keep their land that was given to them. I do not side with terrorist who are wanting to kill innocent people and they don't give a hoot about human life. You probably saw the soldier swap with prisoners. You have Lebanese prisoners being freed from prison and their people celebrating in the streets handing out candy because they are "Heroes", then you have soldiers from the IDF who were finally able to go home, but came home dead in their caskets.

The prisoners that were let free are murderers, which one killed an innocent father and his 4 year old daughter to death. So you think I am going to side with TERRORISTS who take the lives of innocent people and who don't give a hoot and will do it again? NO. I am most definitely going to support Israel and her people until the end. Israel is fighting their own war with TERRORISM, and these terrorists must be dealt with to smitheerines.

Who are you supporting? Terrorists or a people who just want peace, Israel?

  6. It's not a war, it's an occupation.

As wars go it's not terribly brutal, even a modest study of history shows that.

The "war" has only been going on since 1948, before that Jews lived all over the Middle East. In fact one of the largest Jewish communities in the world  was in Baghdad.

It's not Islams and Jews fighting over the Holy land, it's the state of Israel trying to ethnically cleanse Palestine of non-Jews and claim it all for their own.

I am on the side of the innocents (Israeli and Palestinian) who are victimized by the occupation and violence, and the Palestinians and Israelis who are trying to find a peaceful way out of this mess.

  7. When one side is completely wiped out.

I take the side of the people least likely to be my enemy, and right now that is Israel.

  8. I feel sorry for both sides as the conflict started when God told of them, "This Land is Yours". No one is supposed to talk about that aspect because it would show flaws in our God concept.  Because a peace agreement would not address that ancient misunderstanding, it would not be long lasting.

  9. LOL.....My dear misinformed of yahoo answers.......allow me to enlighten you........Israel DID NOT OCCUPY Palestine.....That land was given in covenant thru God to Abraham, Issac and Jacob! In other words....The JEWISH people. The Palestinians have never been an autonomous society, and before you go off of the "Their name was on the map" argument, read the history of how that area was named. The fact of history is that Israel lived as a sovereign nation in that land until the Roman army, led by Hadrian in 130 A.D attacked Jerusalem. The Emperor Hadrian hated the Jews so much for their Monotheistic theology and their refusal to bow to Rome that he removed the name Judea and replaced it with the name of Syria Palaestina, which were the ancient enemies of Israel, the Philistines. His attempt at renaming Jerusalem as Aelia Capitolina failed, but his efforts to steal the Jewish claim to the land of Israel were successful. In spite of Hadrian's use of the term "Palaestina", the Palestinians have NEVER EXISTED as an autonomous society, and the land of Israel NEVER belonged to them. People who believe that the land of Israel was stolen and occupied by the Jewish people are nothing more than Anti-Semitic, and uneducated buffoons. It was the British Mandate of September 11th 1922 called the Churchill "White paper" that gave some 77% of the land called Israel to Jordan, and the British controlled and Governed that area of land in a "Land for Peace" deal. The British went on and then on May 15th 1923 Recognized Jordan as a legitimate state. In 1939 another "White paper" was Issued by the British limiting Jewish immigration into that area of the Middle East not to exceed 75,000 over a five year period. What makes that so horrible was the fact that the majority of immigrants at that time were from Germany, so in essence the British Government sent thousands of Jews back to Hitler and the camps.

Oh Yes before I go............GOD Bless Israel

  10. personally, i'm not taking sides in this matter. i have a vast understanding of this situation and this is what i think:

Jewish claims as to why they should get the land:

    1-Biblical promise to Abraham

    2-Historical site of Jewish Kingdom

    3-Need for haven from Anti-semitism

This is how the Arabs respond to that:

1-the Arabs have been living there continuously and are the demographic majority

2-a biblical-era kingdom does not equal a basis for a valid modern claim

3-why should the Arabs give up land to compensate Jews for Europe's crimes vs. them?

i don't think that the Jews can say that the land belongs to them just because it was supposedly theirs thousands of years ago. that makes absolutely no sense. no one else is fighting for the land that supposedly belonged to their ancestors thousands of years ago because that would be ridiculous. think of the problems it would cause.

The Jews were expelled from that land. And other people took over: the Arabs. There's nothing wrong with that.

Personally, I don't think the problem will ever be resolved because it's too complex. I say they should just share the land. But that will never happen because both sides want the land because it has a religious importance to them. If you have land and religion in the same problem, it's impossible to solve.
