  1. half way up the hill , just before the top.

  2. Gasoline won't run out for at least another 150 years. minimum.

There are still many hundreds of un-tapped oil reserves, In THIS country, bigger than the ones they've been drilling in the east.. Its getting scarce out there, which is why the cost is going up, theres a lot less of it.

  3. We HAVE NOT had any big, major oil finds since the 1970's

ALL the oil being pumped outta the ground now are small, drop in the bucket wells.

"WE REACHED PEAK OIL IN THE LATE 1970'S

big oil will not invest into drilling a dry hole

Its also a world market, lets say for an example a big U.S. Owned Major Oil Co finds an oil well in the U.S. that pumps out 3 million barrels a day, they will sell that oil on the world market at the highest price, just because oil in found in the U.S. doesn't mean that oil will be sold and used in the U.S.!

Its a world market, a one world economy, you have to think that way, the country with the most money wins and get what they want. Right now the value of the U.S. Dollar is low.
