  1. My kids will go back on September 3rd.


  2. My twins start junior kindergarten on Sept 2nd.

  3. mine started last Friday (8-22)...1st day of Kindergarten...oh the tears were flowing that morning!!!

  4. My daughter, entering the first grade, was supposed to go back on Sept. 3. But due to construction at the jr./sr. high school(where I teach), she doesn't start until Thurday, Sept. 4. Both Thursday and Friday are half days, her first full day is Monday Sept. 8. I don't go back to school(I'm a teacher) until November because I am on maternity leave with our 11 day old baby boy.

  9. September 3rd. I even found a 7 hour "School" for my 2 year old. She starts the 3rd. So for 7 hours for every school day i get peace & quiet. It's just me & my 4 wk old :)

    my 3 year old twins had a toddler program over the summer that just ended so it's like I'm losing one child and getting back the other two!

Our school year begins on Tuesday, September 2.  I live in Michigan and we have a state law that public schools can not begin before Labor Day.  It was a bit of a controversy and it is a recent law supposedly put in place to assist the tourist industry, which is one of the main revenues of our state.
