I'm booking a cruise with Cruise.com and was wondering when does it charge your credit card?

If it is charged at the moment it is booked (unless their are credit card problems), do all other websites charge this way too or do they charge at check-in?

  1. Usually they will take a deposit up-front as per the cruise line policy.  It is usually anywhere from $100-$500 depending on the cruise line and length of the cruise.

And then, again with most cruise lines, final payment is due 90 days before sailing.  So then they would charge the remaining balance then.  Or at a different time as specified by Cruise.com

  2. Most travel agencies don't charge your card.

The credit card charge will come from the cruise lines.

It can take a day or two for the charge to hit your credit card.
