when does a coal power plant emit the most smoke...is it when people are waking up using power?

  1. Smoke?  Most of the clouds you see around coal-fired plants are steam, not smoke.

    In general, in the summer, a power plant is used most in the mid-day when the demands of power for both home and office are greatest.  Roughly 10 AM to 4 PM.
