When does a green card expire?

I know that a green card is valid for 10 years, but what would the exact date of expiration be? Would it be on the date that you filed the application form, or on the date that you were granted the green card? Or would the expiration date be the beginning/end of the calendar year?

  1. 10 year from the date your Green card is approved and it is also printed on the green card.

  2. It expires at the same time that it is no longer valid.

  3. depends on your status there are some temporary ones that last anywhere from 1 2 or 3 years then the permanent for 10 years if you have one it should tell you the expiration date in front and you have to start making renewal arrangement 3 months prior to expiration date
