When does a newborn start to hold up his neck on his own

like to where you can just hold him and his neck will just stay there lol, people are scaring me to death when they hold my son.

you are being a good Mum . Yes it is frightning etc . Your baby will do it his own time . It does not take long . As long as you are doing what you are i am sure it will be alright

I found that my baby was able to do it properly at around 3 and a half months.

my son started around 31/2 to 4 months.

but i still get scared to death when they hold, i always think they are going to trip, he's going to jump out of their arms, or just somthing irrational.
