I had a c-section June 10th and still no period i was wondering when is it going to come back? It will be 6 weeks since giving birth tomorrow. Me and my husband have been rather careful and using condoms so i doubt pregnancy but its still in my mind even though i took a pregnancy test today it was negative so i was just wondering when do you start your monthly again?

  1. It can take up to 3 months or more after having a baby.....if u were breastfeeding even longer....it takes a while for those pregnancy hormones to pass sometimes.....give it another 2 weeks and if it still worries you ask your gp

  2. About a month or two.

  3. If you are breastfeeding you may not get one for a while.  I didn't get a period for a year after my second daughter was born because I nursed.  But with my first daughter I also nursed and got one probably 8 weeks after she was born.  I delivered vaginally so I bled for 6 weeks and then got a period about 2 weeks after that.  I hope this helps and congrats on the new baby :)

  4. most women start there period six weeks after the baby is born but some don't start for 8 so i wouldn't worry to much if i was you a friend of mine had c section and didn't have hers for almost 3 months

  5. it depends...their is no certain months when to come your monthly period their are some other women after they gave birth their menstruation came after 1 month or two months but some other are after month and others 1year before their menstruation come . f u still not having ur menstruation u are safe, nothing to worry about.

  6. i had mine right after both of my c sections..the same day as my c sections and they lasted about 4-6 weeks

  7. 1 month

  8. Oh don't worry. It depends on if you're breast feeding or not. If you're breast feeding, it might be awhile still. I didn't get my period after having either of my kids until they were both about 5-6 months old because I was breast feeding. If you breast feed, its very normal not to get your period back for awhile..sometimes even a year or more. Its your body's natural birth control. Breast feeding holds off ovulation for weeks or months so you don't get pregnant right away again. If you are not breast feeding (I hope you are) then it can still be a few more weeks. If you have been using condoms and being careful, I would highly doubt you have anything to worry about. Ususally you will spot and bleed for 4-6 weeks after having a baby so it wouldn't be uncommon to still even be spotting from having the baby. If you're not breast feeding and you still don't get it in another month, see your doctor. They will probably just tell you everything is fine. I bet it will come soon.

Sorry but I just had to say something about Holly G's comment. That wasn't your period that you got after your c-sections lol. Every woman bleeds for 4-6 weeks after having a baby and its from the open area from where your placenta was scabbing over and healing. Its not your period. After you stop spotting 4-6 weeks after you have your baby, THEN you will get your actual period sometime after that.
