  1. Rum , vodka whisky are  good for years, not sure about wine. Once the wine is opened bacteria get in and it starts to break down.

  2. when u have too much of it

  3. alcohol goes bad when it gets past you lips.

It goes "stale" after years and years. It is anhydrous and sucks the water right out of the air if not sealed. This will dilute the potency somewhat and alter the flavor. This process would take more than a year to be noticable depending on the proof of the booze. Higher the proof, faster the degradation. Once you expose wine to oxygen it will start to change immediatly. Within hours the flavor will change. s***w cap wine will last longer than corked wine but none of it will last long uncorked. Two or three days, maybe longer if your pallet in not sensitive.

  4. Rum will stay good indefinitely if it has a tight lid.  Even without a tight lid, it would not spoil, it would lose alcohol % and might taste funny. On the wine, maybe a week, at least a few days.  After that could probably still be used for cooking, particularly if refrigerated.
