  1. Depends on the apples! Some are very early and others such as Black Arkansas, Granny Smith are quite a bit later.  We pick our first ones in early July and continue into October.

If you have apples and want to know when to pick them, take one and split it open.  If the seeds have a brown coat, they may be ready.  Take a bite.  If they are still have a wooden or floury taste, they aren't ready, but soon will be with the brown seed coat.

  2. It depends on where you live! In Chile, they pick apples in February or something like that! Look up a local orchard in the phone book and call them to find out.

  3. Some apples will be ready for picking late this month. Some varieties need the first frost to bring out their sweetness.

  4. In Washington state it will be in just a few weeks.

  5. Generally September to November.   Depends on the variety and the climate zone.
