I can never remember if it's mid-October or mid-November. I'm planning to take a week's vacation in the fall to get my yard ready for winter. Thanks!

  1. I live in Central Ohio.  Official frost date is around the 15th for this area - though is varies widely - often coming even later.

Last year it was summer until mid-October, and mild weather continued so long, we didn't get a hard frost until late November.  People were raking their leaves in late November and December!  It was nutty.

But mid-October is a good guess.

  2. Here is a link to a frost date table.

Frost date for Columbus is October 3

  3. Around Oct 15.

  4. The harvest flies are singing now (cicadas), so it will be 6 weeks until frost in Central Ohio. But it won't be a hard frost, most likely.
