My toe has been slowly bleeding for over two and half weeks after a nasty smash which broke the bone. I am taking antibiotics, which are making me taste blood in my mouth.

  1. if you are taking antibiotics you won't get gangrene, that only happens when anaerobic bacteria get deep into tissues..antibiotics kill those organisms so, no gangrene.  If your wound is still bleeding, however, you may have clotting issues, and you should follow up with your doctor.

  2. You wont neccessarily get gangrene, but keep an eye on it, you shouldseek expert advise,on the taste issue, as you could be having a reaction to the meds.

  3. Sounds really bad, have you been back to your doctor? If not you should. Don't worry about the nail, it will grow back. But get your foot seen to asap...
