When does golf season in New Jersey start?

Im a caddy and want to know when I should call my country club up to see for opening day. When does golf season start?

First time it hits 50 is how we gauge in it Illinois!  If it's getting warm I would call the CC and find out quick!

Check the New Jersey Golf Association website, but I'm almost certain that winter handicap rules end April 1.
