  1. I live in B-town too.  I will start to cool off next month (mid to end).  But it doesn't usually get cold until right before halloween.   I don't know how long you have been here, but it isn't this hot forever, I promise.

  2. Well I live in So Cal. It cools down there around the 3rd week of September in an average year (100's become less common and 90's start to take shape). There are many factors to watch out for. During the 90's there have been years where October can bring in some big time heat due to Santa Ana wind events that warm the area up greatly. October can be a very warm month. In recent years it hasn't. The last real warm October was in 2003 where rain and cool weather only took place on Halloween.

As for getting cold look around towards the end of November when storm systems tend to press down into the area from the north. This breaks down the ridge that sits over the Southwest all summer. Also by that time there is much less daylight so night time temperatures start getting cooler down into the 40's and lower depending on storm systems and how much clearing and the humidity at night time. Take Warning where I live it does crack 90+ in the dead of winter from time to time due to Santa Ana winds in December/January if there isnt any cold air advection.

Things start to warm up greatly around the second or third week of April. Thats when you can expect the first decent heatwave unless its a odd year (El Nino, La Nina...).

    Hope this Helps ^_^.
