  4. I have seen snow in August in the french Pyrenees... but it is pretty exceptionnal. It should normally start to snow seriously around October / November and end in April.

  5. It depends on where you are in France...

December in the North, every 10 years in the South East...

  6. When it gets cold  with the atomistic moist enough.

  7. It can start snowing in the mountains (Alps,  Pyrenees), as early as September, sometimes even in August in the Alps are those are quite tall mountains and a cold snap is enough to make it cold enough up there for snow.

Usually you can see the first flurries of snow in November in the coldest parts of France (Ardennes, north). Serious snowing is around December.

It depends where you are in France.

The Pyrenees had its first snow in September.

The Med coast only sees snow every 5 years.
