  1. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Much of the mid-atlantic is very unpredictalbe when it comes to snowfall. You can get almost none the entire winter, or get 2 snowfalls a week.. its hard to predict.

Normally, the first sticking snow of the year comes in mid-december.

  2. It can vary greatly. Usually we do not experience any snowfall until into the winter months. But it can snow as early as October with a light dusting. However, when it does snow the streets are CRAZY and snow removal is slow and messy. The city is beautiful covered with snow, but I'd wish for none if I was going there.

  3. Maybe in November

It used to snow alot, but not as much or as often now.

  4. Its hard to get snow in Washington early in the season because the the weather systems that carry moisture also carry warmth. If you want snow and have the time i would suggest that you travle into the front Royal area of Northern Virginia via I-64 (could be VA64 west) You will reach the higher elevations in about 2hours.

  5. it will be snowy but it only gets like about 3 inches at a time around the most to actually stick to the ground.
