  1. Obama believes, as does every great philosopher for the last 3,000 years, that there is no way man can know this for certain.  In other words, only God knows.

    This is for Knotalia:

The justification for the misleading "infanticide" charge stems from a proposed state version of the federal Born Alive Infant Protection Act, debated in Illinois when Obama was a state senator in 2001. The most well-publicized portion of that bill would have required that any "viable" fetus surviving a late-term abortion receive sustaining medical care (something which opponents of that bill said was already required by a 1975 bill in the state). But because Obama voted "no" in committee and "present" on the Senate floor, Hudson reasons, Obama must have been in favor of killing viable, born babies -- especially since the U.S. Congress also passed a "born alive" measure in 2002 in near unanimous fashion.

"Unlike Obama in Illinois, Sen. Hillary Clinton voted to support the [2002 federal] bill," Hudson wrote earlier this year. "In fact, the bill passed the Senate 98 to 0 with pro-abortion senators like Boxer (D-CA) and Reid (D-NV) supporting it. In 2003, the bill was introduced in the Illinois legislature for the third time and directed to a committee chaired by Obama, Health and Human Services. They refused to bring the bill to a vote. Only when Obama left for Washington in 2005 did the Born Alive Infant Protection Act pass the Illinois legislature. It's for good reason Barack Obama has been called 'the most pro-abortion presidential candidate ever.'"

One significant problem with Hudson's logic is that it requires comparing apples to oranges. The Illinois and federal bills differed not only in language, but regulatory impact. Critically, the Illinois version of the bill that Obama opposed was also bundled with other proposals that would have put doctors at risk of prosecution, which led the Illinois State Medical Society to oppose the measure along with Obama. The state bill also carried greater influence in terms of enforcement, since states had been granted greater leeway in regulating abortion practices ever since the U.S. Supreme Court's 1992 ruling in the case of Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

Illinois State Representative Rosemary Mulligan sighed when the Huffington Post told her about the "infanticide" claim currently being leveled at Obama. As a pro-choice Republican who is supporting John McCain for president but also worked with Obama back in 2001, she described the first Illinois version of the Born Alive legislation as "a very onerous bill," adding that "I think that the hardcore, hard right conservative Catholics overreach on this one."

  2. McCain

    at the moment of conception

"Osama Obama" -more than one person said it

I'm sure he would murder a baby as long as it couldnt talk yet and that it might get him some more votes

  3. Not even if it survives a botched abortion.

  4. When they can vote for him

  5. Life begins at noon on January 20, 2009.  For all of us.

  6. When life begins, will always be a personal decision and belief to many. Regardless of whether Roe vs Wade is overturned or not.

  7. conception according to mccain obama when it can be taxed

  8. Obviously you and the Republicans do not seem to get it at all.

It does not matter much whether it is McCain's opinion or Obama's opinion.  What one personally believes should not overturn the will of the majority or the protection of ones religious beliefs in a democracy.  And while some Doctors, theologians.scientists and religions believe conception is when the fetus obtains a soul, others have different beliefs and are just adamant and  righteous in their beliefs that in order for a fetus to become a baby it has to have quickened or the independent life must be felt by the mother. That is when it becomes a soul.

Science does not have the answers.  Obviously the debate rages about stem cells which can be altered to be used in other ways. Is something that has no identity a baby?

So it will continue and we have so many issues we can address why go off into what we can only know in our own reality and belief system?

I have no quarrel with people who ban abortion among their religious group.  I do have serious problems with expanding their beliefs to control the rights and interfer with the rights of others.  Abortion was legal and practiced at the time the Constitution was written.  It was not banned until the around the end of the 1800's so who is to say which justices were activists?

Obviously I will be voting for Obama/Biden.  Both are very religious and still understand the secular and balanced requirement they take on when they take the oath to uphold the Constitution.

  9. I'm sure he thinks life begins whenever he says it begins.  Just as he will say when life ends for many Americans, I am so sure.

  10. Probably after the child is born.

  11. Well, since neither McCain or Obama are doctors or God (though McCain may think he is), neither is actually qualified to answer that question. I don't believe in abortion for myself, but I feel that no man (or woman for that matter) sitting in Washington should have the right to tell me what to do with my body. If I am walking out of Wal Mart and get gang-raped and end up pregnant because of it, I should have the right to choose whether I want to carry that child or not. I would never vote for anyone who thinks they have the right to take that choice away from me.

I pray that when Bristol gives birth, she gets to write "President Barack Obama" in her baby's book

  12. Don`t rely on our interpretations of their views. Get it from them directly or you will get false information. We all have our own agendas and convincing you to our own is unfair to you.

To be honest with you, this is an issue that should be personal and out of legislated politics, especially if you are republican. Less government is supposed to be what we are to strive for, not being told what to do with our bodies or how to live our lives. This includes family values. Religion is supposed to teach us how to be, and how to live a good life for the reward of getting into heaven. You cannot and should not legislate any of that, Thanks!

  13. obama

  14. This is a loaded question. to me life begins when the mass of cells becomes a fetus at 13 weeks.  I am pro choice and although I would chose life, I will never make that decision for another woman. Some of these Ppl act crazy with their religious beliefs and they only sound a bit crazy to me.  The whole life starts at conception is an absolute ridiculous argument.  I do think that abortions should only be done in the first trimester, which 95% of them r.

  15. Obama's and McCain's personal opinion would be life begins at conception. Obama is a christian and McCain supports the social conservative point of view. The birth of Bistol's child will not be an opinion, but just a normal act of childbirth.

  16. When either it is old enough to pay taxes, or old enough to get welfare.

  17. When he says so or when they vote for him, whichever comes first.

  18. Ask someone above his pay grade. He's stated he doesn't know, but he's apparently willing to take the chance anyway. McCain has stated he believes life begins at conception. I'm not even touching that last question.

  19. Who cares, hes running for President not Pope.

  20. apparently only if you vote democrat

  21. when the momma wants the baby.  if it is born alive in the abortion mill by accident, and the momma still doesn't want it, obama says killing it is okay.

mccain says life begins at conception.

  22. Why are you asking  Yahoo bloggers? Go to his website and learn what he really thinks - if you're really interested that is.

  23. Is this about the population control and if so we must vote Mc Cain or we are doomed!!

  24. when...ummm...you know.

  25. Obama was asked that and said it was above his pay grade. McCain said at the moment of conception.

Bristol will be giving birth under McCain's opinion.

  26. / McCain said life begins at conception, therefore Bristol has life inside her.

Obama said he doesn't know the answer because it is "above his paygrade" (obviously he liked that line from the  movie The Borne Identity).

Obama voted for a bill that would allow the killing of a child AFTER it came out of the womb.

Obama wouldn't want his kids 'punished' with a child (his words).

    * I guess Obama's followers don't know that Obama was concieved in November 1960 by his unwed mother who was 17 at the time.

  27. Life in Obams opinion apparently begins some time after the child is born, how close to before or after the child is born may change depending on who he is speaking to and who wrote his speech, because we all know we do not want to "Punish" some one by having a baby.

If I have read and or heard McCain's opinions correctly he believes life begins at the moment of conception.

The rest of your question I really can't decipher,,,

"bristol be giving birth to newborn under whos opinion obamas or mccains ???

What do you mean or what are you trying to insinuate?

  28. obamas opinion: umm uhhh ahhh mmm ehhh hmmm
