Well it actually depends on what part of the state you live in. In sw Louisiana the rut is early in the year.The scraping usaully starts mis to late Sept. Chasing and breeding early to Mid Oct. In north LA. it is like the other guys said. They also have bigger deer up in North La. Hope that helps.
