When does metabolism start?

Well, the title says most of it. I wrote this question because most of the questions about metabolism are about when it stops. And I've been wondering what are the steps of puberty for girls?

your metabolism stops when you die. as long as you live, your metabolism is working, some have metabolisms that work faster than others, but they all work till you die, as for puberty, it varies with each girl. some get the underarm and pubic hair first, some get the periods first, some get the b*****s first. there is no pattern, because we are all different. and there is no way that's better than another, either- its all normal.
