When does new models of golf clubs (irons)usually come out every year? Summer?

I was just reading the "equipment guide for 2008" in last months Golf Digest, so probably late winter, early spring.

The new clubs are coming out now... Odyssey just released several new putters and the 2008 irons are already in the stores. Most are no different from last year's models, so save yourself some cash and buy last year's stuff at a huge discount. The Cobra and Taylormade clubs are virtually identical to last year and the older model can be had for about half their original cost.

They like to have the new stuff out in December for the big PGA show down in Florida.  But they don't always make it.  Titleist has two new sets of irons coming out, and they say they will be available late March - so probably any day now.  But most manufacturers have all their new clubs in stock at retailers now for the new season.

There are some out right now.  Golf clubs are not like cars (for example) where there is a clean break between old and new (like 2007 and 2008) models.  Technology, swing styles, and any number of other factors mean that clubs are always evolving and being updated.   The next big thing is clubs is the interchangeable head/shaft.  Nickent has one out right now...

I would said early spring when the clubs (woods, irons, putters) come out.
