When does sale season happen in europe?

Im going to europe from august to january. i just wanted to ask when usually does sale season happen, because i'm going to do some shopping. If possible can i also have a rundown of countries and their respective sale seasons..thanks!

in france  january and july, but exact dates changes every year , sales are fixed by the law.
