When does snow usually start to fall in Big Bear, CA?

Wanting to plan a winter vacation for snowboarding. Is there snow in Big Bear as early as late December? We usually go to Sierra Summit.

yes there is plenty of snow. New york has it's peak snowfall then. And out there it is almost peak. Late Jan is peak snow fall. But you will be fine
