  1. He will most likely head for the Dubai World Cup - the richest race in the world - at the end of March, so that may well be his first start.

I would think they will give him a prep run before that though:

  2. The Don Handicap as a stepping to the Dubai World Cup.  Many wish to see him run in Dubai, however, it is a long grueling go just to get there.  Horses shipped there sometimes don't come back the same.  He's an awesome horse and I wouldn't want to see Dubai Cup make him any less than awesome.  Would have loved to see him race Invasor.  What a race that would have been.  BB

  3. Well, he's based at Fair Grounds right now... meaning he will have to travel to get to either Oaklawn or Gulfstream. He proved himself at Oaklawn last year, winning his maiden race there. Jess Jackson seems to be the type to want to take on the best contenders at the best tracks, so my guess would also be the Donn HCP. But the Donn is coming up real quick (Feb 2) and Curlin has had only 2-3 published works, so I'm not sure about his fitness.

  4. you better hope it's not the dubai world cup.  chances will be real good we won't see him after that.  that trip just wrecks most horses.

i really doubt he's going to go west, though.

  5. probably the Donn at Gulfstream...then to dubai......dont think we will get to see him here at Oaklawn this year
