I'm an aviation enthusiatst of both civilian and military aircraft.

I like a lot of airplanes made by Boeing especially.

Upon hearing about the 787 a year or two ago, I became more interested about it.

I looked it up online, read about it in books and magazines, and decided that I couldn't wait to be a passenger on that plane one day.

I heard that Continental is the only American airline with 787's on order.

I also heard that production of the 787 has been stalled a bit.

So, when does it officially come out?

Thank you

  1. Due to the delays, it should now enter service between the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2009.

  2. The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner should make its first flight in the end of this year. The airplane its almost done. It will carry 290 persons. The first delivery to an airliner company its set to 2009, capable to reach 6,5 thousand or 15 thousand kilometres. The 787 production was stalled mostly due to delays on its montage.
