When does the Navy provide first orders?

My husband is currently in "A" school, and I was wondering approximately when my husband will receive his first duty orders? Closer to graduation? Week #?

It depends on how long the school is but generally a couple weeks to a month before graduating A school.

Typically a week or 2 prior to graduation.

Answer 3

anywhere from 30 days prior to finishing to 30 days AFTERWARDS.  it's rare,. but occasionally they do finish A school and do not get orders right away.
