When does the horse part of the olymincs start????

i love horses and i would like to know when the horse phrase of the olymipcs starts??

The first of the 3 major equestrian sports in the Games will be held this weekend- the dressage portion of the 3 Day Event is on Saturday and Sunday, with next Monday being Cross Country day ( also called Speed and Endurance day). Then the Show Jumping portion and team and indivdual medal ceremony ( Olympic 3 Day Events ALWAYS feature the team and individual competitions running at the same time) will be held on August 12, next Tuesday.

The first qualifying round for the individual and team Show Jumping competition will be held on the 15th, followed by 2 more rounds, and then the finals. Dressage competition gets underway right around that same time- and this year, there will be medals awarded not only for the individual tests, but also for the musical freestyle rides, or keurs, that the riders perform, which are fun to watch and highly entertaining.

One other note- the equestrian sports are being held in Hong Kong, NOT Beijing, because Beijing does not have the facilities for them. These are the only events in this year's Games which are being held in a separate city, away from the host city. Everything else is in Beijing.
